As the leader of FMI’s Research and Analytics practice, he develops data-driven, fact-based market intelligence to bring insights that catalyze exceptional company performance and competitive advantage. The research services he oversees include market sizing, forecasting, buying practices, preferences, competitive behaviors and response.
Director of Research, Yardi Matrix
Paul Fiorilla is Director of Research at Yardi Matrix, where he oversees research publications that include national and metro outlooks and white papers about industry trends. Paul recently passed his 25th anniversary in the industry. Before joining Yardi in January 2015, he worked for six years as an investment vice president in the research group of Prudential Real Estate Investors (now PGIM). Prior to joining PREI, he covered CMBS and CRE capital markets for Commercial Mortgage Alert for 12 years. Additionally, he serves as volunteer Editor in Chief of the magazine published by the CRE Finance Council and is a member of the publications committee of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA). He regularly produces articles for industry trade magazines published by trade groups including AFIRE, NAREIM, Institutional Investor, CREFC and PREA.
Chief Economist, The Associated General Contractors of America
Kenneth D. Simonson has been Chief Economist for the Associated General Contractors of America, the leading national construction trade association, since 2001. He provides insight into the economy and what it implies for construction and related industries through frequent media interviews, presentations and The Data DIGest, his weekly one-page e-newsletter.
Ken has more than 40 years of experience analyzing, advocating and communicating about economic and tax issues. Before joining AGC, he was senior economic advisor in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy. Earlier, he was vice president and chief economist for the American Trucking Associations. He also worked with the President’s Commission on Industrial Competitiveness, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board and an economic consulting firm.
