Operations Manager, Robins & Morton
Ashley Dyer is an operations manager for construction firm Robins & Morton, which specializes in the healthcare sector. Dyer has been with Robins & Morton for 22 years and has been integral to the success of more than $1.3 billion of work across the Southeast and in Texas. He began his career in field supervisory roles, where he gained valuable experience in managing project sequencing and scheduling. He has since served in project management and oversight roles, encompassing the full project delivery experience.
Dyer is a building science graduate of Auburn University and gives back to his alma mater through service to the Auburn University Industry Advisory Council. He is also a board member of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama and chairs the Gen-Sub Committee.
Senior Medical Planner, SmithGroup
Jane Hendry is a seasoned and innovative Medical Planner with over 18 years of experience in healthcare architecture. She brings a deep understanding of clinical environments and a passion for creating healing spaces that are both functional and forward-thinking. Jane has led the planning and design of numerous healthcare facilities across the country, guiding projects from initial concept through detailed sign-off. Her expertise spans programming, in-depth code research, full-scale mock-ups and interdisciplinary coordination.
Throughout her career, Jane has cultivated strong, collaborative relationships with clients, users and project partners. She is known for her ability to mentor teams, foster creativity and deliver solutions that align with both operational goals and patient-centered care.
Her portfolio at SmithGroup includes significant projects such as Indian Health Services Whiteriver Hospital and The Queen’s Medical Center Wahiawa General Hospital Renovation. Jane’s portfolio prior to SmithGroup includes Banner Health Thunderbird Medical Center East Tower Expansion, Dignity Health Bakersfield Memorial Master Plan, Phoenix Children’s Hospital PMB MOB Specialty Clinics, and Sutter Health Castro Valley Medical Center Replacement Hospital.
Jane holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from North Dakota State University and is a registered architect in Arizona. She is NCIDQ-certified and LEED accredited, reflecting her commitment to sustainable and high-performance design.
Senior Medical Planner, Associate Vice President, HGA
Lori Magalen specializes in the programming and planning of projects within complex medical facilities. With more than 25 years of experience, she collaborates with clients using Lean planning and Evidence-based Design, to find innovative solutions that help make sure outcomes are efficient and respectful of patients and staff alike.
Ken has more than 40 years of experience analyzing, advocating and communicating about economic and tax issues. Before joining AGC, he was senior economic advisor in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy. Earlier, he was vice president and chief economist for the American Trucking Associations. He also worked with the President’s Commission on Industrial Competitiveness, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board and an economic consulting firm.

Denise Thompson leads FCA’s sustainability efforts in healthcare projects, bringing extensive experience in green design. Her passionate approach and commitment to environmentally responsible architecture have made her a key figure in the industry. Denise has also held leadership positions within the AIA, demonstrating her dedication to advancing the architectural profession, and is active in local mentorship groups bringing the profession to the next generation of architects.
