From On-Prem to Cloud: Lessons Learned from a Large-Scale Migration

Learn how Colliers Engineering & Design successfully transitioned from on-prem infrastructure to Autodesk Forma, using strategic planning, pilot testing, and change management to create a scalable, connected workflow for future growth.

This On Demand CEU is a recorded presentation from a previous live event.

Colliers Engineering & Design’s (CED) transition from on-prem Vault to Autodesk Forma (formerly ACC) was driven by the need to eliminate data silos, support massive datasets, and scale across multi-discipline teams and acquisitions. This session explores how CED approached the shift strategically, partnering with ARKANCE and Autodesk to reimagine workflows while honoring what already worked well. You’ll learn how to analyze your current environment, define end goals, and run effective pilot programs with SAT/UAT testing to evaluate performance, latency, and user experience. Discover the importance of documentation, change management, and building an ACC Guideline and Data Process Document to support rollout and adoption. Whether you’re a large firm or a small team, this session offers practical insights, lessons learned, and a roadmap to a successful Autodesk Forma migration, paving the way for connected clouds, integrations, and a smarter future.
